Humane Society partners with Schoner Chevrolet for free pet adoption day

HARTVILLE — On Saturday, April 30, Schoner Chevrolet, at 720 West Maple Street, will host a free pet adoption drive. The Stark County Humane Society will bring cats, dogs, puppies and kittens to the dealership from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Schoner Chevrolet will pay all adoption fees on-site, and will provide food and supplies to help you get started. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be served as well.

The event will help raise money for the Stark County Humane Society as well as alleviate space at the crowded shelter.

"This is a great opportunity to give shelter animals forever-loving homes. The need is certainly there, especially with many shelters completely filled to capacity with abandoned cats and dogs,” said Teresa Sholtis, Humane Society receptionist.

If you are not ready to adopt there are still ways you can help by donating money, food or supplies. Items can be dropped off at Schoner Chevrolet or the Stark County Humane Society.
